Bandaged Tattoo Aftercare

PLEASE NOTE; Tattoos take approximately 1-3 weeks to completely heal.

DO's:

We recommend keeping bandage on for 3 to 5 hours.
Wash tattoo with mild unscented soap and warm water, we recommend using Dr. Bronner's or Cetaphil cleanser.
Be sure to remove any blood and excess ink.
After tattoo area is clean, apply a light coat of A&D ointment or Aquaphor, do so 3-5x daily.
Leave tattoo unbandaged.
Wash tattoo first thing in the morning and 2-3x daily for the first two weeks.
Minimize contact with clothing, hair, and jewelry.
Use sunblock once tattoo is fully healed, this will help to maintain vibrancy and to prevent tattoo from fading.

DON'T's:

Do not use washcloths or sponges on new, healing tattoos.
Do not use scented/antibacterial products during the tattoo healing process.
Do not use oily or antibacterial products like; Aloe Vera or any scented lotions.
Do not go in swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas, or bathtubs with a new tattoo.
Do not wear tight-fitting clothing over a new tattoo.
Do not scratch or pick at tattoo scabs, you may slap the area to relieve the sensation.
